Founded in 1993 to meet the electricity needs of Zorlu Grubu (Zorlu Group), Zorlu Enerji began its operations with electricity generation. Today, the company operates as an integrated entity with a balanced generation portfolio that prioritizes resource diversity through its domestic and international power plants. In addition to electricity generation, Zorlu Enerji offers end-to-end services including electricity and natural gas sales and trading, solar panel trading, the sale, installation and operation of electric vehicle charging stations, and electric vehicle leasing.

Acting on the principle of carrying out projects that contribute to sustainability in every aspect, Zorlu Enerji aims to further increase the share of renewable energy in its generation portfolio — particularly geothermal and solar energy — and to enhance its resource diversity.

Focusing on geothermal energy investments domestically, Zorlu Enerji is the largest player in Türkiye's geothermal energy sector with a total installed capacity of 305 MW, single-handedly representing approximately 18% of the country's total geothermal energy capacity.

Electricity Distribution and Retail Sales

Zorlu Enerji acquired all shares of Osmangazi Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ (OEDAŞ) — the electricity distribution company serving the provinces of Afyonkarahisar, Bilecik, Eskişehir, Kütahya, and Uşak — and Osmangazi Elektrik Perakende Satış AŞ (OEPSAŞ), the electricity retail sales company, as of February 2017.

OEDAŞ, which carries out the electricity distribution activities in the relevant region, provides uninterrupted and reliable energy services to consumers in its area. OEPSAŞ, on the other hand, operates as the assigned supply company in the relevant distribution region and also conducts electricity sales to eligible (free) consumers. Electricity Trading and Sales

Zorlu Elektrik Enerjisi İthalat İhracat ve Toptan Ticaret AŞ (Zorlu Elektrik), a wholly owned subsidiary of Zorlu Enerji, conducts electricity sales to eligible consumers under the "Supply License" granted by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

Zorlu Elektrik's core activities include:

• Retail electricity sales to individuals and institutions classified as eligible consumers
• Electricity buying and selling on the Organized Wholesale Electricity Markets operated by EPİAŞ (EXIST – Energy Exchange Istanbul)
• Wholesale electricity trading on the Over-the-Counter (OTC) and Borsa
• İstanbul Futures and Options Market (VİOP)
• Electricity import and export
• Balance Responsible Party (BRP) group management

In addition to large corporate and industrial customers, Zorlu Elektrik conducts direct electricity sales to a wide range of eligible consumers — from households to SMEs — including individuals and institutions.
